Pella Corporation Becomes Latest Donor for the Murray Pickleball Complex
Murray, Kentucky – The Murray Pickleball Association (MPA) is thrilled to announce that Pella of Murray, Kentucky, has become the newest “naming right” donor for the highly anticipated Murray Pickleball Facility. With a generous donation of $25,000, Pella will enjoy five years of prominent advertising opportunities within the campus of the new pickleball complex.
The funding for this donation comes from the Pella Rolscreen Foundation, an organization dedicated to enhancing communities surrounding Pella’s manufacturing sites. By providing grants, investing in youth and education, and undertaking service projects, the Rolscreen Foundation aims to support the growth and development of the communities where Pella Corporation team members live and work.
Mr. Greg Wyatt, Plant Manager at Pella, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “The new Murray Pickleball Facility aligns perfectly with the Rolscreen Foundation’s goals to enhance our community’s future. We are excited that our 780 employees will have access to an excellent facility for recreational and fellowship development within our community.”
Tim Thurmond, MPA President, welcomed the new relationship with Pella and highlighted the organization’s goal of breaking ground for Phase One of construction this October. “We are working diligently to finalize our contractor’s bid, which will determine the number of courts we can build. We have space for up to 10 courts, and during Phase One, our aim is to construct five or six courts,” said Thurmond. “Building these courts will honor our existing donors’ contributions and create momentum for future fundraising efforts. Our community will celebrate once they experience this state-of-the-art tournament-level facility.”
Upon completion, the MPA and the Murray Park System will have numerous opportunities to organize clinics, leagues, and tournaments for citizens of all ages, fostering community engagement through the sport of pickleball. “Stand by Murray, your new facility is coming!” added Thurmond.
The MPA continues to seek additional contributions to bring the pickleball vision to life. Interested donors can support the project by visiting the MPA website at murraypickleball.org or through their GoFundMe account. To simplify the donation process, use the QR code at top of page.
